Castaway Work Week
WHERE: Castaway Club - Detroit Lakes, MN
WHAT: Wheaton Young Life is so excited to be offering an incredible opportunity for current juniors (rising seniors, graduation year - 2025) the summer of 2024. Students will travel to Young Life’s Castaway Club Camp on a beautiful lake in Minnesota to work together with high schoolers from nearby communities to help prepare Castaway for younger campers this upcoming summer! Students will get to work alongside their leaders, eat meals together in the dining hall, have free time in between and time to explore the beach and the lake, Young Life Club and cabin times of their own, etc. It will truly be a week they will never forget!
We believe this work week service opportunity is specifically designed with your current juniors in mind as they prepare for senior year and beyond!
WHEN: May 29, 2024 - June 02, 2024 (*UPDATED TRIP DATES*)
WHO: Current Juniors (Rising Seniors at WN and WWS - High School Graduation Year, 2025).
COST: $375 - $100 deposit required to secure your spot (Cost may decrease in coming weeks after we get a better idea of our registrant numbers and final transportation quotes). Total cost is due May 24th.
Deposits are non-refundable after February 1st.

Scholarships: We never want the cost of our trips to inhibit a student from coming with us. If you would like to request financial assistance, please (1) register your son or daughter online and then (2) fill out this scholarship form afterwards. Your information will be completely confidential. We require anyone who receives financial assistance to participate in our Summer Camp fundraisers this Winter/Spring.
Fundraising: Our camp fundraisers are offered to ALL students even if they are not applying for a scholarship. We will be doing a coffee fundraiser (selling Five & Hoek coffee) AND we will do mulch sales where any profit from either sale will go directly to your child’s balance. These are great options if you want your child to personally contribute!
